16 settembre 2019 S.ee con Jody Ellen | Do Humans dream of electric lions? performance audio-video + neu radio dj set
ENG VERSION BELOW Do humans dream of electric lions?

Do humans dream of electric lions? is a sonorised performance in which the live-story merges with the immersive atmosphere of the dramaturgy of sound constructed on field recording, electronic sounds and ethereal chores which makes the artwork a mix between spoken music, ethereal and ambient, with techno-industrial inserts. The visuals are projected and inspired by the texts and they impose themselves as a visual and visionary scenography. The story, written in the form of a poem, fluctuate between the search of loneliness and non-attachment, and the tension of searching and relating among us humans, sensing us and taking as an example the instinctive and authentic nature, freed from significant and mystifying words, similar to the nature of animals. It can also be understood as a journey to the limits of reality, where the oneiric and unsettling dimension of the dreams and the stream of consciousness prevail both visually and musically.

It’s a political and cultural space that plans and realizes art festivals and activities. It’s a laboratory active in the development of services dedicated to the wellbeing and protection of the LGBT community. Since 2002, Cassero is located in the spaces of the Salara, built at the end of the eighteen century and called Salara because of the function of the building which has been historically used to preserve the salt coming from Cervia. To these days, Salara is the only building that testifies the presence of the old fluvial port, considering that all the other dock buildings were destroyed and the ground was levelled to accomplish a master plan approved in 1881.
